Eddie Hearn said that the tournament with Usyk, Joshua and Fury can be held in Saudi Arabia
British promoter Eddie Hearn spoke about the progress of negotiations on the super tournament with the participation of Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk. This became known to the YouTube channel IFL TV.
Hearn stated that the event should take place in Saudi Arabia in December 2023. Usyk, British Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, as well as American Deontay Wilder, are already participating in the negotiations. “It will cost a lot of money, but it would be huge,” the promoter emphasized.
Fury and Usyk were supposed to meet in the ring on April 29, negotiations for a fight have been going on since the fall of 2022. On March 22, the manager of the Ukrainian Egis Klimas announced the cancellation of this fight.
Usyk holds World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and World Boxing Association (WBA) world titles. He has 20 wins in 20 fights.
Fury has 33 wins, one draw and no losses. Joshua has 25 wins and 3 losses in his professional career. Wilder has 43 wins in the standings, 42 of which were obtained by knockout, two lost fights and one draw.
