Vizela seeks home draw against Boavista for the Portuguese

This Monday, Vizela received Boavista and drew 1-1 for the 28th round of the Portuguese Championship. Yusupha Njie scored the only goal for the visitors in the final stage and Osama Rashid left everything the same in the final stretch.

With the result, Boavista is in 11th place with 34 points, while the home team rises to seventh, with 39. With that, Vizela is just six points behind the G5 and has reached four games without defeats in the Primeira Liga.

Vizela’s next match is against Arouca, away from home, on Sunday, at 4:30 pm (Brasília time). Boavista, on the other hand, faces Rio Ave, in its domains, on Saturday, at 2 pm.

The game

The match started with Boavista having more possession of the ball and finishing more on goal, after Vizela had an optimistic start to the game. Even shooting seven times in the first half and having 60% possession, the visiting team failed to score goalkeeper Fabijan Buntic and the score was still 0-0 at half-time.

The match on the way back to the second half became warmer and goal opportunities became scarcer. Even so, Boavista was the best team on the field and continued to create more chances than the opponent, so much so that they opened the scoring in the 26th minute of the second stage with Yusupha Njie.

Already in the final stretch, at 42 minutes, Vizela put pressure on the opponent and found the equalizing goal despite having been inferior to the rival throughout the entire 90 minutes. Osama Rashid scored the team’s heroic goal.
