Transfermarkt named Alexander Golovin from AS Monaco the most expensive Russian player
The Internet portal Transfermarkt named the top ten most expensive Russian football players. It is available on the publication’s website.
The list was topped by Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin, whose market value is estimated at 25 million euros. Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan and Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvey Safonov shared the second and third places in the list. They cost 15 million euros each.
Next on the list are Italian Torino midfielder Alexei Miranchuk (12 million), CSKA Moscow forward Fedor Chalov (10 million), Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Daler Kuzyaev (10), Spartak Moscow forward Alexander Sobolev (9), Moscow midfielder Lokomotiv Dmitry Barinov (8) and Spartak defender Georgy Jikia (8).
Golovin moved to Monaco in 2018 after the World Cup in Russia. On February 27, it became known that he had entered into a new agreement with the club until the summer of 2026.
