Tennis player Zverev said he had the right to accuse Daniil Medvedev of foul play
German tennis player Alexander Zverev explained why he accused the Russian Daniil Medvedev of cheating. His words are quoted by Sportskeeda.
The athlete said that he had every right to criticize Medvedev, as he used the medical timeout in his own interests. “I win and lose in tennis and I’m proud of it. Of course, I sometimes break rackets. But I remain an athlete to the last, ”said Zverev.
Medvedev and Zverev played against each other in the third round match of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament in Monte Carlo. The Russian won the representative of Germany with a score of 3:6, 7:5, 7:6 (9:7).
After the match, Zverev called Medvedev one of the most dishonest tennis players in the world. In his opinion, the Russian did not give a damn about the principles of fair play and took advantage of the toilet break. In response, Medvedev advised his opponent to look at himself.
