This Sunday, the Arsenal drew 2-2 with West Ham English Championshipand wasted one more chance to at least keep the distance to the manchester city at the edge of the competition. Currently, only 4 points separate the two teams. It’s worth remembering that City have one game in hand.
This is the second consecutive match in which the English leaders have conceded a draw after opening up a two-goal lead. In the last round, the team found itself in the same situation against Liverpool.

the coach of GunnersMikel Arteta, did not hide his dissatisfaction with the result of the game played at the Olympic Stadium in London.
“We started extremely well again, dominated the game and scored two beautiful goals. After that, we made a big mistake. We stopped playing with the same purpose of scoring the third and fourth”, lamented the Spaniard.
Arteta ruled out that his team’s performance is due to the fatigue of the players.
“Tired? No. What we produced in the first and second half against Liverpool was similar and today we had more intensity in the second half. We were slow in everything we did. I don’t think the team is tired. The best way to win is to convince my players of how good they are and what they need to do”, continued the manager who also rejected the idea that Arsenal are under pressure.
“When I see a team playing with the pace we had at the start of the match, that’s not pressure. With 2-0 in favor, we’re not pressured. We just didn’t do what the game demanded at the time”, he said.
💬 “As a team, we have to raise the level and come back to our principles.”

Finally, the 41-year-old coach spoke about what Arsenal need to do to get back to playing well and beating the English.
“We need to have a ruthless mentality of wanting to beat the other team. If you don’t do that in the Premier League, at some point it comes back to you.”
Arsenal’s next match will be against Southampton, this Friday, at 4pm (Brasília time), at the Emirates Stadium.
