With nine WorldTour squads, the 39th edition of the Vuelta a San Juan (Argentina) will be disputed from January 30 to February 6, with the presence of the Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz, in what would be his start to the season.
After the suspension of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Vuelta a San Juan returns in 2022 with a record of international first-line teams, “An unprecedented event,” according to the organization.

The test will also have four professional and nine continental teams, including Team Ecuador, as well as nine national teams.
