After win the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinalsMilan turned its attention to the Italian Championship in this Saturday. With the reserve team, Milan drew 1-1 with Bologna, away from home, with goals from Sansone and Pobega.

The result puts Milan in fourth place in Serie A with 53 points. Just behind in the table with 51, rival Inter Milan can overtake the Rossoneri if they beat Empoli this Sunday, away from home, starting at 7:30 am (Brasília time). Bologna is in eighth place in the Italian Championship, with 44 points.

The first goal of the match came after 33 seconds of play. Bologna defender Stefan Posch advanced down the right, went to the bottom line and crossed in the small area. Striker Nicola Sansone got ahead of Milan’s defense and scored.

At the end of the first half, in the 39th minute, Bologna’s defense barely managed and the ball was left at Tommaso Pobega’s feet at the edge of the area. The Milan midfielder took a risk from afar, kicked hard and the ball hit the crossbar before going into the goal, with no chance of defense for the goalkeeper.

In the final stage, the main starters of the Rossoneri like Rafael Leão and Brahim Diaz entered the game. Milan exerted pressure, but it was not enough to overcome the defense of the team commanded by the former Italian-Brazilian player, Thiago Mota.

Next Tuesday, Milan will face Napoli again in the Champions League. At Estadio Diego Armando Maradona, the Rossoneri will defend their advantage from a goal scored in the first leg to advance to the semi-finals.
