Bild: Bayern suspend Mane after brawl after Manchester City defeat
Bayern Munich have suspended striker Sadio Mane after he started a fight in the locker room after losing the Champions League. Bild reports.
According to the publication, Mane pleaded guilty, apologized to teammates and said that he was ready to accept any decision of the club’s management regarding his future. It is noted that Bayern also considered the imposition of a fine and the termination of the contract with the attacker as a punishment, but they came to the conclusion that they were not ready to part with the player.
On April 12, it became known that Mane had a fight in the locker room with the German Leroy Sane after a crushing defeat from Manchester City. Munich lost in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals with a score of 0:3. The conflict between the players began on the field. The dispute was broadcast in the 83rd minute of the meeting.
The second match of the teams will take place on April 19 in Munich. The starting whistle will sound at 22:00 Moscow time.
