Brazilian defender of “Zenith” Rodrigao did not rule out obtaining Russian citizenship
The Brazilian defender of Zenit Rodrigao spoke about the possibility of obtaining Russian citizenship. His words are quoted by Metaratings.
The 27-year-old player shared that he never really thought about it seriously. “I never had information for what I need it. I do not rule out that this issue may arise in the future. I do not rule out that I can consider this issue,” he said.
Rodrigao has been playing for the blue-white-blues since July 2022. As part of the team, he played 24 matches in all tournaments and scored one goal. In the previous season, the Brazilian defended the colors of Sochi.
On February 24, it became known that two Brazilian football players of Zenit, Malcolm and Claudinho, changed their citizenship to Russian. Former striker of the Russian national team Ari said that athletes were condemned in Brazil when they learned about their decision.
