The health agency suspects the authenticity of the document and filed a complaint with the prosecution. Anfang claims to have been vaccinated.
Werder Bremen coach, Marcus Anfang, has resigned this Saturday after the prosecution opened an investigation for suspicion of falsification of the vaccination certificate against the coronavirus.
Beginning rejected the accusations, but he declared that he made the decision so that the pressure does not fall on the club, currently in the second division.
“In view of the pressure on the club, about the team and also about me and my family I have made the decision to resign from my positionAnfang said in a statement.
Anfang had taken over at the beginning of this season and Bremen had to pay severance pay to their previous club, Darmstadt.
The second coach, Florian Junge also submitted his resignation from the club.
“Markus and Florian show responsibility with their decision given the unrest that had been in the club in recent weeks, “explained Bremen’s administrative director, Frank Baumann.
The decision taken is based on the fiscal investigations in which both coaches are being involved and that have created concerns within the club in recent weeks. Those responsible for Werder will make statements in due course.#Werder

The problem started when, after a Bremen player -Marco Friedl- tested positive, Anfanf present his vaccination certificate before the competent health office. This organism had suspicion of the authenticity of the document and filed a complaint with the prosecution.
Anfang claims to have been vaccinated and having the certificate scanned at a pharmacy, as is common in Germany. (D)
