Dziuba’s children’s coach called on the football player to apologize to Semak for refusing to shake hands

Alexander Shuplyakov, the children’s coach of Lokomotiv forward Artem Dzyuba, appreciated the act of a football player who, after the match of the Russian Premier League (RPL), refused to shake hands with Zenit head coach Sergei Semak. It is reported by Sport24.

The specialist called on the former ward to apologize to the blue-white-blue mentor. “This does not paint Artem, because he and Sergey Bogdanovich became the champion of Russia more than once,” said Shuplyakov.

He also explained the incident by the explosive nature of the football player. “One can only guess whether this gesture of Artem is connected with his departure from Zenit,” the coach summed up.

On April 9, Zenit beat Lokomotiv 2-1 in the match of the 22nd round of the national championship. After the meeting, Semak went to Dziuba to shake his hand, but the player did not react to this in any way and headed towards the room under the stands. The player explained that he did not shake hands with the coach because he did not see him.

34-year-old Dziuba moved to Lokomotiv on February 8. From 2015 to 2022, the football player played for Zenit, in which he won the Russian championship four times.
