Galtier gets angry after Nice fans display a banner with insults to his mother and responds to the insult

O Paris Saint Germain entered the field last Saturday, at French Championship, and came away with a 2-0 win over Nice, away from home. However, the result started to be sidelined after the visiting crowd displayed a banner insulting coach Christophe Galtier’s mother.

The message displayed was “Forward, backward, Galtier’s mother”. After reading the sentence, the coach asked Nice goalkeeper Jean-Clair Todibo: “Did you see the banner? What if it was you?”.

At the end of the game, Christophe Galtier ironically applauded the Nice fans. The coach was under the command of the club last season and, already at the press conference, reinforced that the team is only disputing the Conference League because of him.

“Did you see it? Did you read it? My mother is 83 years old and she is fighting cancer. Period. If those people in the stands watch Conference League games, it’s thanks to my work last season and to Didier (current coach of the Nice)”, said the trainer.

In the next round, PSG will face Lens, vice-leader of the competition, next Saturday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Parque dos Príncipes.

Nice, on the other hand, before returning to France, will face Basel, from Switzerland, for the match day of the quarterfinals of the Conference League. The match is next Thursday at 4pm.
