The Slovenian publication Slava accused the head of UEFA Čeferin of falsifying resume data
The head of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Alexander Čeferin, was accused of falsifying information about himself in his resume. It is reported by Marca with reference to the Slovenian portal Slava.
When the functionary was elected president of UEFA in 2016, he stated that he was a member of the board of directors of the Olimpia football club from 2006 to 2011. According to the publication, this data is a lie. If the fact of falsification is established, Čeferin’s election may be declared invalid.
On April 5, Čeferin was re-elected as UEFA president. The 55-year-old Slovenian was the only candidate for the position. Thus, he will continue to lead the organization until 2027.
Čeferin has been heading UEFA since September 2016. In February 2019, he was already re-elected to this post.
