State Duma deputy Svishchev said he sees no reason to recognize Kerzhakov as a foreign agent
Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports Dmitry Svishchev appreciated the words of the former football player of the national team Alexander Kerzhakov about the reasons for his departure from Russia. Svishchev’s commentary is quoted by Moscow Speaks.
“I believe that Kerzhakov and his wife made their choice. It’s their choice, they have a right to it. Another question is that everything he has now was given to him by Russia,” the deputy said. He added that he did not expect to hear words from Kerzhakov about fear for his safety in Russia, and noted at the same time that he sees no reason to include a football player in the register of foreign agents.
