This Thursday, coach Ramon Menezes confirmed 13 changes in the squad’s Brazilian Team under-20 for the dispute of three friendlies in Spain, which will take place between the 15th and 27th of April.
The exchanges were confirmed after several clubs asked for the release of their athletes. Most of the players who left the initial list are already present in the professional squad of their teams.
Among the São Paulo clubs, Corinthians and Palmeiras had athletes released, but other players from the under-20 category were also released. Timão managed to recall striker Pedrinho. On the other hand, goalkeeper Kauê was called to replace Mycael, from Athletico-PR.
Meanwhile, Verdão managed to release midfielder Luis Guilherme and forwards Endrick and Giovani, who already regularly train with the squad commanded by Abel Ferreira. Meanwhile, midfielder Pedro Lima and striker Kevin were called up by Ramon Menezes in the new roster.
The athletes summoned from Santos and São Paulo were not released in the list of changes announced by the CBF. At Peixe, striker Marcos Leonardo was called up in the initial squad, while Tricolor Paulista is represented by left-back Patryck and defender Beraldo.
“First of all, I have an open and direct dialogue with all the clubs. I thank those who were able to release their athletes and I understand the difficulties of those who were unable to do so. These are very important games, the last ones before the World Cup, which is our main focus. I am sure that everyone will understand, when called up for the World Cup, how important it is for a player to compete in a competition of this level”, said coach Ramon Menezes when confirming the changes.
