Auction of shirts of the best in the world raises BRL 275,000 for earthquake victims

The charity action that involved the best soccer players in the world was able to raise BRL 275,000 for those affected by the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on March 31st. In recent weeks, the players chosen for the selection of the best in the world of the FIFPRO World 11 had autographed shirts auctioned on the platform MatchWornShirt with the aim of collecting funds intended for victims.

In all, there are 44 auctioned shirts – all signed and one framed by each player. Of the 44 items, 36 have already been sold so far, and the rest will go up for auction in the coming weeks. Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland shirts were the items sold for the highest values. The French items PSG received bids of more than R$ 28 thousand.

All campaign shirts were donated and autographed by the players themselves, and even received the application of an exclusive FIFPRO World 11 patch containing a message of support for Turkey and Syria, to make each item more special and collectible. The charity action was an initiative resulting from the partnership between FIFPRO (International Federation of Professional Players Associations) and MatchWornShirt, a renowned platform for auctioning shirts used by athletes.

The amounts raised by the auctioned items are for campaigns that aim to build homes for those who lost their homes due to the earthquake. In line with other initiatives in support of earthquake victims, MatchWornShirt has also been promoting other charity shirt auctions with funding for Turkey and Syria, with participation from players from around the world.
