Chimaev addressed the head of the UFC

Swedish mixed style fighter (MMA) of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev has addressed the head of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White. Post available in Twitter-the athlete’s account.

Chimaev, 27, published an excerpt where the ring announcer announces the Chechen fighter. “Who’s Next, Dana White?” – he wrote, mentioning the promoter’s account.

On November 15, it was reported about a possible duel between Chimaev and the Brazilian Gilbert Burns. The UFC has not officially confirmed this information.

Chimaev has expressed his readiness to replace Jorge Masvidal at UFC 269, which is scheduled for December 11 in Las Vegas. The American was supposed to fight Leon Edwards. The latter could have met Chimaev in the octagon in the fall of 2020.

Chimaev has won four straight UFC victories. In his last fight at UFC 267, he forced the surrender of Li Jingliang of China. After the victory, the Chechen announced his readiness to fight for the welterweight title. The division champion is Kamaru Usman.

Before joining the UFC, Chimaev fought in Brave FC, where he also did not know defeat. In total, Chimaev has ten victories in ten fights. Having won three of them in the UFC in 66 days, he set an organization record.

Chimaev is a native of Chechnya. He left Russia at the age of 19. The Chimayev family went to Sweden. The Chechen came to martial arts through free-style wrestling.
