Ecuador climbs nine places in the FIFA world rankings

The Tricolor is located in box 46 of a table led by Belgium and that has Argentina in fifth position.

Belgium remains the leader in the FIFA world rankings, ahead of Brazil, while Argentina has risen to fifth place and Ecuador has gained nine positions, according to the November 19 update.

The Tricolor is located in the 46th place (1448.74 points), after that in the previous update, that of October 21, it was positioned 55. The promotion is justified by the two victories that the National Team achieved this November in the qualifying rounds for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, against Venezuela (1-0) and Chile (0-2).

The progression of one place for the Albiceleste and England (fourth) is the greatest novelty in the table, in which Denmark and the Netherlands also advance one place to settle in ninth and tenth, and Italy, which will have to play the qualifying play-off for the World Cup, drops two places and is sixth, ahead of Spain.

France is very close to the main duo, inasmuch as they are separated by only 2.10 points from Brazil, which the tie in Argentina prevented it from being the leader.

Mexico goes back five places. Exits from top 10 to be now fourteenth.

Uruguay also fell to seventeenth position and Chile to twenty-fourth, as did Paraguay to 43 and Venezuela to 59, while Peru climbed to 22. (D)
