The long awaited Women’s Final has arrived. This Thursday, Brazil and England face off at 4:45 pm (Brasília time), at Wembley Stadium, in London. The dispute puts face to face the current champions of the Copa America and the Euro, respectively.
It will be the third time the teams will meet. The first time was in October 2018, in a friendly match. Who got the better of the English by 1 to 0, with a goal from the attacking midfielder Kirby.
The following year, in February, the teams played for SheBelieves and the scenario was practically the same, with England winning, which incidentally took the tournament title. On the scoreboard, the result ended in 2 to 1, with Ellen White and Beth Mead being responsible for the triumph. Andressa Alves cashed out.
The last time England were on the field with Brazil was in the same year, but in October. However, the team managed to win by 2-1 on this occasion, goals from Debinha (2x). England went down on the count.

The advantage of the English over Brazil, however, is not the only highlighted point that deserves to be raised.
England haven’t conceded more than one goal in a game two years ago. The last time the occasion happened was in April 2021, in the 2-0 defeat by Canada, when coach Hege Riise was still in charge of the team.
By the way, this was also the last defeat of the selection. The team has not lost for 29 games, accumulating 25 wins and four draws. In goals, there are 137 scored and only nine conceded.
One of the main pieces in Sarina Wiegman’s current squad is striker Rachel Daly, who defends Aston Villa. The athlete had seven direct participations (five goals and two assists) in the last eight matches for the national team.
Rachel has been treated like a “renaissance” from England in recent years. In winning the Euro last season, she became a mainstay of the team and found her starting place.

Although they lost their last fixture against Brazil, the England women’s team won all of their other five games against South American opponents. The national team will be the 19th different nation England have faced under Sarina Wiegman.
