The game
The first stage was quite busy and balanced, with chances for both sides. However, in most opportunities, the opposing goal or defense prevented either team from opening the scoring.
Already in the second half, at 12 minutes, Abdoulaye Doucouré was expelled, after being strange with Harry Kane and slapping him in the face.
With one more player, Tottenham began to put pressure on the hosts. In the 20th minute, Keane brought down defender Cristian Romero inside the area and the referee awarded a penalty. In the penalty kick, Harry Kane opened the scoring for Tottenham at Goodison Park.
At 29, Everton responded with Gueye, who kicked from outside the area and just didn’t tie the match because Lloris made a beautiful save.
In the 42nd minute, Lucas Moura, who had just entered the match, made a strong entrance to Michael Keane and was expelled.
Without the numerical disadvantage, the hosts put pressure on Tottenham at the end of the match, and reached equality on the scoreboard, with a beautiful goal by Keane, who, in the 45th minute, sent a bomb from outside the area.
