Oleksandr Usyk will hold the next fight with Briton Daniel Dubois
The Committee for Championship Fights of the World Boxing Association (WBA) has named the next opponent of the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. This was reported on the page of journalist Michael Benson in Twitter.
Usyk will meet with Briton Daniel Dubois. It is specified that the athletes have 30 days to conclude a contract for the duel.
On April 29, Usyk was supposed to fight another Briton, World Boxing Council (WBC) champion belt holder Tyson Fury, but the boxers could not agree on the distribution of fees. Negotiations have been going on since autumn 2022.
Usyk has 20 wins in 20 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts. The 25-year-old Dubois has 19 wins and one loss.
