The victory keeps Real Madrid 12 points clear of the leaders Barcelona. Now with 59 points in the competition, the team led by Carlo Ancelotti is turning its efforts to revert the result against its rivals in the Copa del Rey. For the semifinal, the Merengues face Barça on Wednesday, at 4 pm (Brasília time), at the Camp Nou, and need to win by at least 1 to 0 in order not to be eliminated after regular time.
Real Valladolid, on the other hand, will end the round very close to the relegation zone. The team, which belongs to former player Ronaldo Nazário, was in 16th place, with 28 points, but could still lose a position until Monday. The team returns to the field next Sunday, to face Mallorca at home.

The goals of the game
