Alexandra Popp put the Germans ahead in the 20th minute and Kadidiatou Diani equalized for PSG (30′), but the French failed to score the second goal that would allow them to even the match.
The PSG striker had scored in the 11th minute, but the goal was disallowed by VAR as Diani left in an offside position.
Shortly before half-time and with the game tied, Diani suffered an injury to his right collarbone and was unable to continue on the field.
In the second stage, the game opened up, with PSG trying to match the match and Wolfsburg looking to guarantee the classification. Both teams had clear chances to score goals, but the score didn’t move anymore.
However, the best chances were for the hosts, who hit the post three times (53, 77 and 86) and Onema Grace Geyoro saved a dangerous shot from Popp over the line (60).
