CSKA Moscow defeated Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the seventh match of the quarterfinal playoff series of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting of the Gagarin Cup quarterfinal was held in Moscow and ended with the score 5:0 in favor of the hosts. As part of the army team, forwards Anton Slepyshev, Vitaly Abramov, Vladislav Kamenev, Andrey Svetlakov and Mikhail Grigorenko scored goals.
Thus, CSKA won the series to four victories with a score of 4-3 and reached the final of the Western Conference of the KHL. In the next stage of the tournament, the team will meet with St. Petersburg SKA. The first match of the series will take place on April 2 in St. Petersburg.
CSKA is the current owner of the Gagarin Cup. Last season, in the final series, the army team turned out to be stronger than Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
