The second friendly of the FIFA term was played at dawn on Tuesday, March 28. The Ecuador national team beat the Australian Socceroos 2-1 at the Marvel Stadium in the city of Melbourne.
It is the first victory of the Spaniards Felix Sanchez Bass as the coach of the Ecuadorian team, although the coach had already made his debut the previous day when Australia won 3-1 in Sydney.
The coach used the 3-4-3 system and won the game. Sánchez has already announced his intentions with the team since being presented at the Casa de la Selección: “We would like it to be the leading team in the matches, a winning mentality from the start, against any opponent, context and championship.”
This Tuesday, the first shot of the game came from Craig Goodwin, who finished past Hernán Galíndez and assisted Brandon Borella for the Kangaroos’ only goal.
