Bad relationship with players may have led to the departure of Julian Nagelsmann from Bayern

Last week, the Bayern Munchen announced the resignation of Julian Nagelsmann and the arrival of Thomas Tuchel in his place. Despite having 100% success in the Champions LeagueNagelsmann’s team failed to repeat their success in the German Championship.

To get an idea, in 2023, Bayern only went to win their firstr match in the national competition at the beginning of February, after 4 games. In the face of the poor performance in the Bundesliga, the team fluctuated in the leadership of the tournament and, after the defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, by 2-1, lost the leadership to Borussia Dortmundwhich now depends on himself to beat the German.

However, according to the German newspaper Bild, the results were not the only thing that made the Bayern board remove Nagelsmann. The relationship with the players was not good either.

According to the publication, goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich were dissatisfied with the 35-year-old coach after the departure of Toni Tapalovic, Bayern’s goalkeeping coach and Neuer’s best man. Tapalovic was accused of leaking conversations from the coaching staff, which would have been discovered and subsequently culminated in his departure from the German club.

In addition, Nagelsmann did not communicate with the locker room and, therefore, did not have the support of big names in the squad, such as Gnabry, Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala and Sadio Mané.

Finally, the Portuguese defender João Cancelo was also not happy with the fact that he did not have, with Nagelsmann, the role he had hoped for and which motivated him to go to the German club, where he has been since January of this year.
