The French lead group B with three points won. In the debut, at the Stade de France, the runners-up of the 2022 World Cup scored a 4-0 defeat against the Dutch. The goals were scored by Mbappé, Griezmann and Upamecano.

In addition to being Deschamps’ first match after the World Cup, it was Mbappé’s debut as captain of the team.
