Dagbladet: 22-year-old biathlete Eivind Sporaland disappeared without a trace in Norway
22-year-old biathlete Eyvind Sporaland disappeared without a trace in Norway. This is reported by Dagbladet.
The athlete disappeared on March 19 in Alta during the Norwegian championship. According to one version, he could ski into the forest. “Based on the considerations that were made after analyzing the weather situation, traffic and physical condition, we still believe that Eyvind may be alive,” said Magnus Danielsen, who leads the operation.
The organizers of the tournament decided not to cancel the competition. On March 23, the search operation in the area was stopped. It is noted that the police found Sporaland’s car, but at the moment they have not found any other traces of him.
Sporaland is the winner of the junior championship of Norway. Biathletes from Lillehammer, where the athlete is from, are also participating in the search.
