The goals of the game

France needed just 2 minutes to score. After the French pressured the Dutch exit, the ball arrived for Mbappé, who played for Griezmann to arrive beating from the edge of the area. The attacker hit a strong shot on the first post and did not give chances to the goalkeeper.

At 7, the owners of the house expanded. After a free kick into the area, nobody managed to finish, but Cillessen got in the way and ended up giving a rebound to the middle of the mess. With a subtle deflection, Upamecano took advantage of the chance to make it 2-0. With 21 minutes left, it was Mbappé’s turn to score his. The number 10 received it in the face of the goal, free of marking, and firmly hit the left corner.

In the second half, France had a goal annulled, in the 40th minute, but managed to close the rout soon after. At 42, Mbappé received it at the entrance to the area and went on top of the markers. After leaving a defender on the ground, the French star filled the net with an accurate finish in the left corner of Cillessen’s goal.

In injury time, the Netherlands had their best opportunity of the game to score and close the deficit. Weghorst tried to head a cross into the area, but it hit Upamecano’s hand and the penalty was awarded. Depay took responsibility. The attacker hit very badly and Maignan fell to make the save. The Dutchman still tried on the rebound, but he took it without strength and the French goalkeeper fit.
