Andrey praises Ramon and admits to idolizing Casemiro: “Living a dream”

U-20 South American Champion, Andrey meets coach Ramon Menezes at the Brazilian Team main event, which faces Morocco this Saturday. The young midfielder was full of praise for the coach and even commented on the experience with his idol Casemiro.

“I’m even suspect to talk about Ramon. He’s a phenomenal guy, he always made me feel at ease on the field, he always valued the group. Our group in the Sub-20 was very united and committed, and that facilitated our performance during the South American”, declared Andrey.

For the Sub-20 competition, Brazil was undefeated champion and had Andrey as the best player of the tournament. The midfielder scored six goals and drew the attention of the English giant Chelseawho paid around 15 million euros to Vasco to sign the player.

This was the first official call-up for Andrey, who is only 18 years old. In preparatory training for the friendly against Morocco, the midfielder is having the opportunity to play alongside Casemiro, one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

“The experience has been incredible, it’s a dream come true. I’m very happy and I feel at home, they welcomed me very well. Being next to Casemiro is being next to an idol. I’m living a dream, and he’s helping me I hope to be able to repay the help and experience he gave me on the field”, said Andrey.

Starting at 7 pm (Brasília time) this Saturday, Brazil will face the Moroccan national team at the Ibn Batouta stadium, in Tangier. In anticipation of the debut, Andrey expects a disputed game.
