World Athletics has developed 35 “special conditions” for the restoration of ARAF membership
The International Association of Athletics Federations (World Athletics) has published on its website the conditions for the restoration of membership in the organization of the All-Russian Federation of Athletics (ARAF).
World Athletics has developed 35 “Special Conditions” to ensure that ARAF’s anti-doping reforms work effectively. These include requirements for more doping tests. The Athletics Integrity Unit will enforce these rules, ethics and anti-doping regulations, and will protect ARAF from external influences. All these measures will be in effect for three years.

Earlier on March 23, World Athletics announced the restoration of ARAF membership. At the same time, the suspension of Russian athletes from competitions under the auspices of the organization was extended. Thus, they will not be able to take part in the qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In 2015, the membership of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) in World Athletics was suspended due to systematic violations of anti-doping rules by Russians. Domestic athletes could compete in international competitions only after receiving individual permits and in a neutral status.
