Pedri suffered a muscle injury in the anterior straight of his right thigh, in the first leg of the Round of 32 of the Europa Leagueagainst Manchester United, in February. The player had already returned to training, but the wound healing did not progress as expected. That way, he will be out of combat for a longer time than imagined.
According to the newspaper, however, coach Xavi and Barça’s medical department are in no hurry for the 20-year-old’s return, as they don’t want to take “unnecessary risks” by accelerating the player’s return, without him being fully recovered.
