RFU awarded Pari Nizhny Novgorod a technical defeat in the RPL match against Torpedo
The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) awarded Pari Nizhny Novgorod a forfeit defeat in the match of the 20th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) against Torpedo Moscow. It is reported by “Match TV”.
The reason was the participation in the meeting of the football player Yaroslav Mikhailov with a bust of yellow cards. It is noted that the midfielder had four yellow cards: two in the RPL and two in the Second League as part of Zenit-2. Mikhailov will be able to take part in the next match for the team, as his disqualification is considered implemented in the game against Torpedo.
On March 19, Torpedo announced their intention to protest the result of the match with Pari Nizhny Novgorod, which ended 1-1. The club noted the fact of “gross non-compliance” with the rules by the rivals during the meeting in the 20th round of the RPL.
Thus, now Torpedo, after 20 matches, is in 16th place in the RPL table, with ten points. Pari NN is in 13th place with 19 points.
