Ex-Corinthians, coach Sylvinho called up this Saturday the 23 players from Albania who will face Poland on March 27, in Warsaw. The match will be the debut of the Albanians in the qualifiers for the eurocup.
Training will begin on Monday at the National Federation’s newly opened training center in Tirana, Albania.
“We took advantage of these first two and a half months of work to look for all the necessary information until we reached the 23 names. We observed 70 players, watched 240 games and made three trips to Europe to talk to the athletes. All conditions were given to us and now is the time to go to the field and work”, stated Sylvinho.
In addition to Poland, Albania’s group includes the Czech Republic, Moldova and the Faroe Islands. The two best-placed teams qualify for eurocup.
