Fiorentina’s management says that the club has no plans for early termination of the contract with the Russian striker Alexander Kokorin. It is reported by Sport24.
Earlier on November 17, Italian media reported about the possible imminent termination of the agreement.
Violets’ sporting director Daniele Prade denied the latest rumors, saying the club would not terminate the player’s contract. “This is not true,” he commented on the posts.
It is not the first time that Fiorentina has to react to rumors about Kokorin’s possible departure from the club. Earlier, the team rejected the possibility of sending a player on loan.
In the current championship in Italy, Kokorin only appeared on the field three times as part of the “violets”. The Russian cannot make his way to the main squad amid injuries. Fiorentina’s contract with the forward is valid until the summer of 2024. The striker’s salary at the Italian club is 1.8 million euros per year.
Kokorin is known for his performances for Russian clubs: Dynamo, Zenit, Sochi and Spartak. From 2011 to 2017, he was involved in games for the Russian national team.
