With the end of the preliminary phases, the 32 teams that will compete in the Libertadores Cup of 2023. With that, the date of the group draw has already been set, which will take place on March 27, at 21:00 (Brasília time), at the headquarters of Conmebol, in Luque, Paraguay.
The 32 clubs will be divided into four pots. The division follows the ranking elaborated by the highest entity of South American football. The top eight finishers form pot 1, while the next eight go on to pot two. Likewise, the rest successively occupy pots 3 and 4. The four teams coming from Pre-Libertadores complete pot 4.
Brazil will be represented by seven teams in this edition of Libertadores. Palmeiras (champion), Internacional, Fluminense, Corinthians, Athletico-PR and Atlético-MG qualified for the Brazilian Championship. Flamengo completes the sextet as champion of the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores in 2022.
The competition regulations say that teams from the same country cannot face each other in the group stage. The exception is the teams that came from the preliminary rounds.

Copa Sudamericana also defined
This week, the 32 teams that will compete in the group stage of the Copa Sudamericana. Half of them were already classified directly, while the rest secured their place in the preliminary stages.
There will also be seven teams from Brazil. The country will be represented by América-MG, Botafogo, Goiás, RB Bragantino, Santos, Fortaleza and São Paulo.
The draw also takes place on March 27, at the headquarters of Conmebol, in Paraguay. The rules and the division of pots respond to the same criteria, following the ranking of the entity. The exceptions are Fortaleza, Huracán, Millonarios and Magallanes, who reach the Sul-Americana after being eliminated in the Pre-Libertadores and go straight to pot 4.
