The game
The first stage was dominated by Atalanta, who were in danger with Pasalic. The midfielder’s best chance came with a header after Ruggeri’s cross in the 40th minute. Goalkeeper Perisan left the goal open, but the Croatian player failed to direct the ball in the right direction and it went off the bottom line.
Even with the dominance of the home team, it was Empoli who opened the scoring in the 44th minute. Baldanzi crossed in the area and, in the hit and rebound, Ebuehi was faster than the marking and put the visitors in front of the scoreboard.

In the other game of the Italian this Friday, Sassuolo received Spezia at the Mapei Stadium and won by 1 to 0. Berardi, from the penalty spot, was responsible for the triumph.
With the result, Sassuolo continues to rise in the table and reached 10th place. The next game for Matheus Henrique’s club will be on April 3 (Monday), against Torino. Spezia, on the other hand, is fighting not to fall in the competition. In 16th place, the team plays again the day before, on Friday, against Salernitana.
