With the triumph, Canada took the lead in the qualifying, with 16 points, one more than the United States. Mexicans park in third place, with 14 points.
In this last phase, the top three will qualify directly for the World Cup. The team that takes fourth place will compete in the repechage.
The Concacaf Qualifiers only return in January 2022. On the 27th, Mexico visits Jamaica, while the Canadians face Honduras, away from home.
United States Stumble Away From Their Domains
In another game on Tuesday, the United States faced Jamaica, far from their domains, and drew 1-1. The visitors opened the scoring with Tim Weah, at 11 of the first half, and Michail Antonio, at 22, guaranteed the equality on the scoreboard.
The United States are parked in second place with 15 points, while the Jamaicans are in sixth place with seven.
