Chimaev was predicted to be a superstar in MMA

The head coach of the Ameican Kickboxing Academy (AKA) Javier Mendes assessed the prospects in mixed martial arts (MMA) from the Swede of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev. The expert’s podcast is available on YouTube.

Mendes, known for working with Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, considers Chimaev a very promising athlete and reads him great success in the Octagon of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC). “I think he is destined to fight for the title. I am convinced that he is a future superstar, ”said Mendes.

“He has every chance not only to become the best in his weight category, but in general in MMA,” he said.

Chimaev has won four wins in four fights within the UFC. Each time the Chechen fighter finished the opponents ahead of schedule. Chimaev regularly challenges UFC stars to the fight. He also claims to be ready to fight for the UFC welterweight title. The head of the UFC, Dana White, believes that the Chechen needs to have two fights with the top fighters in the division before counting on a title fight.
