Against three players “Salavat Yulaev” filed cases for the purchase of military tickets
Three Russian hockey players Anvar Suleymanov, Vladislav Lukin and Mikhail Vorobyov were charged with buying military tickets. This is reported by the Baza Telegram channel.
Athletes are accused under part 4 of article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Giving a bribe”). Hockey players face five to ten years in prison.
Hockey players are pupils of the Ufa club “Salavat Yulaev”, and Suleymanov continues to play for the team. The players were contacted during the consideration of the case of former policeman Farit Samigullin, who helped the club’s athletes avoid the army and prepared military tickets for them. Correspondences with hockey players about the purchase of documents were found in his phone.
Earlier it was reported that the goalkeeper of the Russian national team Ivan Fedotov could also buy a military ticket through Samigullin. The hockey player allegedly transferred money to him in a banking application. However, Fedotov’s lawyer denied that the athlete had a military ID before being drafted into the army.
