The Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi will take part in two international level tests this weekend: the Normandy Tourin Francefrom Friday to Sunday, and the Alfredo Binda Trophyof the Women’s World Tour, in Italyon Sunday.

Tania Calvo, Idoia Eraso, Lija Laizane, Usoa Ostolaza, Marta Romeu and Alba Teruel they will dispute the Normandy Tourwhich will have the participation of 22 teams, several from world tour. The route does not have large mountain passes, but it does have numerous levels, and winding terrain every day.

Another block will dispute the Alfredo Binda Trophythe third round of the Women’s World Tour for the team, after competing on the UAE Tour and the Strade Bianche. Yurani Blanco, who has qualified fifth in the recent Tour of Extremadura, Ariana Gilabert, Nadia Quagliotto, Laura Rodríguez, Aileen Schweikart and Eneritz Vadillo will be the six runners in contention. It is expected that the race, in which the best teams in the peloton will be, will be decided in the final circuit, of four laps, with the climbs to Casale, 800 meters at 7%, and Orino, 3.9 kilometers at 3.9 %; in total, 139 kilometers, from Maccagno con Pino e Veddasca to Cittiglio.

Ion Lazkano, sports manager of Laboral Kutxahas indicated the following: “We are going to find our place in the two races. In France, we hope to be protagonists in the breakaways and we will try for some top10, while in Italy, despite the level, our objective is also to have visibility in the first half of the test and I think we can achieve a decent position with Aileen. Without a doubt, these are two more races to continue learning and growing at all levels”.
