The RFEF appears in the Negreira case

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced that has appeared in the proceedings of the Negreira case“once the complaint by the Prosecutor’s Office for the payments from FC Barcelona to the former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees, José María Enríquez Negreira”.
In an official note, the RFEF informs that “it has sent the report of the Department of Integrity of the Federation, and all the documentation that supports the letter, to the UEFA Integrity Director.”
The RFEF affirms that “it is collaborating from the beginning with the competent authorities, to facilitate the work of the investigation into these facts as much as possible”, which, it clarifies, “predate the current management team”.
“UEFA”, adds the note, “has also been informed of the appearance in court by the RFEF. At the same time, it has been transferred to the CSD (Superior Sports Council), with a copy to FC Barcelona and the CTA (Technical Committee of Referees), the aforementioned report prepared by the Integrity department”.
The federative body reiterates its “unquestionable commitment in this matter”, which is demonstrated by the internal investigation that it began “as soon as the case became known.”
The Federation stresses that it is “willing to collaborate at all times”, wants it to be reached “until the end”, and asks, in turn, “the necessary and advisable serenity that contributes to lowering the climate of tension that has been created towards the arbitral group”.
The RFEF appreciates “the union of the arbitration group around the CTA, which has brought together all the referees who currently carry out their work in professional football.”
