FIFA sided with Zenit in a dispute with the Swedish Djurgården
The Dispute Resolution Chamber of the International Football Federation (FIFA) satisfied the claim of Zenit against the Swedish Djurgården regarding the lease of goalkeeper Alexander Vasyutin. It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
The St. Petersburg club demanded 400,000 euros from the Swedes, which were spelled out in the agreement, but Djurgården refused to pay. In a dispute between teams, FIFA sided with the Russians.
The Dispute Resolution Chamber of the organization ordered the Swedish club to pay off the debt to Zenit within 45 days, as well as pay a fine to FIFA. If Djurgården fails to comply with these conditions, the team will be banned from transfer activities for the next two windows.
28-year-old Vasyutin is a pupil of Zenit. For Djurgården, the football player played 12 matches in the Swedish championship. This season, the goalkeeper did not play for Zenit in the Russian Premier League (RPL), but played one match in the Russian Cup.
