Euskaraz irakurri: Irati Idiakez, dual banked slalomeko munduko txapelduna
The snowboarder of Getaria Irati Idiakez has obtained this Wednesday the gold medal in the modality of dual banked slalom inside of the Adapted Snowboard World Championship which is being carried out at La Molina station, in Girona, and, in this way, has been proclaimed world champion in that specialty.
With this medal, Idiakez now adds three in this World Cup, after the silver achieved in cross and of gold that he got in cross team.
The victory obtained by the Gipuzkoan snowboarder has been historic, since it is the first achieved by a member of the Spanish adapted snowboarding team in an individual event of the World Championship. The American Peggy Martin, who, at 58 years old, was the oldest skier in the competition, has been her most demanding rival in the descent of the final.
