Lionel Messi has a contract with Paris Saint Germain until June of this year and the future of the star player is already being speculated in different leagues around the world. This Tuesday, the Argentine’s father and agent, Jorge Messi, was seen in Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia.
Journalist Ahmed Alajlan published on social media two photos in which Jorge Messi is spotted on Saudi soil. Alongside the agent are Abdullah Hammad, head of the Mahd Sports Academy, and Abdulaziz Al-Faisal, prince of Saudi Arabia.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Al Hilal would be preparing an offer for Messi of 220 million euros per year to have the Argentine at the end of his contract with PSG. The amount would be similar to what Cristiano Ronaldo receives at Al Nassr, Al Hilal’s rival in Saudi football.
Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been at the forefront of a dispute over the world’s best in recent decades, especially in Spanish football, when they played for Barcelona e Real Madrid. Portuguese left Spain in 2018 and transferred to Saudi Arabia in 2023. Messi, who has been at PSG since 2021, could follow the same path.
Messi’s future has also been speculated in the United States. Inter Miami, whose owner is former English player David Beckham, would be interested in having Messi next season and would already have agreements with MLS to make the calendar and tax limits more flexible to attract the star.
As his contract nears its end, Messi continues to play for PSG. In the last round of French Championship, the Parisian club beat Stade Brestois 2-1, with an assist from the Argentine for Mbappé’s goal. This Sunday, the team faces Rennes, at the Parque dos Príncipes stadium, starting at 1:05 pm (Brasília time).
