Coutinho does not intend to leave Barcelona in January, says the newspaper

Philippe Coutinho does not intend to leave the Barcelona in the next transfer window in January. According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, the Brazilian intends to remain on the team to which he is linked until June 2023.

As the publication points out, the attacking midfielder gained minutes under the command of coach Ronald Koeman, who was fired at the end of October. Currently, with coach and idol Xavi Hernández, the athlete, who has been speculated at other clubs, will probably continue playing with some regularity.

In January, Barça should study possible alternatives in the transfer window, as Coutinho receives the highest salary from the cast and is not the protagonist.

Coutinho is the most expensive signing in the history of Barcelona: he was bought from Liverpool, in 2018, for 135 million euros (R$ 842 million currently). However, he never really established himself in the team and was even loaned to the Bayern Munchen.

This season, the Brazilian midfielder played 11 games for the Catalan team, four of them as a starter, and scored a goal. In all, he played 101 games: he scored 24 times and made 14 passes for goal.
