The game
Bayern started the game with a scare. At two minutes, Augsburg opened the scoring with striker Mërgim Berisha. However, the visitors’ party did not last long, as the Bundesliga leader tied in the 15th minute, with João Cancelo, and turned the duel in the 19th minute, with Benjamin Pavard. Before the break, at 35 minutes, the French side scored yet again and Leroy Sané scored the fourth already in stoppage time to extend the scoreboard.
At 15 minutes of the second half, Augsburg scored again with Berisha, this time taking a penalty. However, the visitors’ goal only momentarily reduced the gap to three goals after Canadian Alphonso Davies scored Bayern’s fifth and final 29th minute.
Before the final whistle, already in stoppage time, Irvin Cardona scored the third goal for Augsburg and closed the game account.
