This Friday, Tottenham coach Antonio Conte commented on Richarlison’s statement after the elimination in Champions Leaguelast Wednesday.
“Richarlison is right, his season is not good. He has had many injuries. He started well, got injured, went to the World Cup, when he came back, he got injured again. He hasn’t scored in the Premier League yet, he scored twice in the Champions League and I think he was quite honest when he said that his season is not good. But the season is not over yet. He has a chance to recover. If he thinks he deserves to play I’ll give him the chance, otherwise we have other players ready.”

After a 0-0 draw with Milanfor the Champions League return duel, Richarlison showed dissatisfaction with the lack of opportunities with Conte.
“There’s no fool here, I’m a professional. I work every day and I want to play. I’m missing a minute, I’m missing time. This season is a shit…, because I don’t have minutes. I also suffered a little injury, but when I enter the field I give my life. I came from two games well, mainly against Chelsea, in which I played the 90 minutes and we won the match. I think I should have played”, commented the player in an interview with TNT Sports.
Hired in July last year from Everton, in England, for around R$ 316 million, Richarlison arrived as a hope of goals for Tottenham. In practice, however, things were different. That season, the Brazilian played in 25 games, scoring just two goals and three assists.
