Igor Akinfeev ranked 47th in the list of the best goalkeepers in the world since 1987 according to IFFHS
The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has compiled the top 50 best goalkeepers in the world since 1987. The organization published its version on the website.
The list includes two domestic goalkeepers – Rinat Dasaev and Igor Akinfeev. Dasaev took 37th place, Akinfeev – 47th. The leader of the rating was the Italian Gianluigi Buffon.
Akinfeev – bronze medalist of the 2008 European Championship as part of the Russian team. At the club level, the football player plays for CSKA, with whom he won the championship and the Cup of the country six times, and the Russian Super Cup seven times. In addition, as part of the army team, Akinfeev won the UEFA Cup.
Dasaev – silver medalist of the 1988 European Championship and bronze medalist of the 1980 Olympic Games as part of the USSR national team. He also has two victories in the national championship together with Spartak Moscow. In 2004, Dasaev was included in the FIFA 100 list compiled by the Brazilian Pele, in which he included the 125 best living players at that time.
