There are slight improvements in the condition of the hospitalized Olympic ice dance champion Roman Kostomarov. This was announced in a conversation with Lenta.ru by a source familiar with the situation.

On March 7, Mash reported on his Telegram channel that Kostomarov was developing sepsis on his arms and legs. It was noted that doctors cannot stop the infection, so there is a threat of several more amputations. However, later a Sport24 source denied this information.

Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized on 10 January. The Olympic champion was diagnosed with left-sided pneumonia in combination with influenza B. According to Telegram channels 112 and Mash, Kostomarov’s left foot was amputated, as well as several fingers on both hands.
